To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.

Lord God, help me hold fast to the faith which guarantees an end to these days of mourning. I trust Your Word which tells me that my sorrow like sackcloths and ashes will be replaced with garments of praise and righteousness. Amen.
