Lord Jesus, on this Thursday, I thank You for Your courage and obedience the night of your betrayal. You could have simply left. But instead, You endured the agonizing passage of your last free hours in the company of the disciples, and you gave Your Church this beautiful gift of remembrance in the Lord's Supper. Thank you for helping the Church understand what You were about to endure on our behalf. Amen.
