The LORD is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you.
- Psalm 9:9-10

Father in Heaven, You are the Champion of the oppressed, and a Friend to the poor. Your compassion is boundless and I thank You for being a God who will never forsake me. Help me take courage in this truth, no matter what trials You ask me to endure. Amen.
